More summer fun in June

After returning from Nacogdoches, we went into full wedding swing. One of my best friends from high school, Abby Baggett, got married on the 14th and is now Abby Hulin! I was so blessed to be able to be here and participate in her wedding. She made a beautiful bride and Josh is a lucky man!

Aside from all the events we've had going on, the kids have really enjoyed having a backyard to play outside. MiMi and PaPa bought a trampoline and that has filled up our afternoons. The kids love putting the sprinkler underneath and jumping around in their bathing suits.

Lindemann Family Medical Clinic Ribbon Cutting/ Nac Trip

In the beginning of June we traveled to Nacogdoches. My sister, Carey, opened her own family practice clinic earlier this year and the chamber of commerce celebrated the Ribbon Cutting on June 6th. Not to brag or anything, but Carey's clinic was jam packed full of people all the way out the door. The representative from the hospital reported that her practice was the fastest growing in Nacogdoches and new construction plans are already in the works for a larger clinic. Can't even begin to express how proud we are of Dr. Lindemann AKA Carebear and all her accomplishments!
That weekend was also the Blueberry Festival in downtown Nacogdoches. It was a lot of fun! Carey, Peyton, and I did the 5K that morning then met up with the rest of the crew. We had blueberry pancakes, tea, lemonade, and shortcake. Then Carey bought flats of blueberries and made blueberry pie and homemade blueberry lemonade with a splash of Lemoncello! We also got to watch an awesome baseball game of Carson's that Jackson is still talking about!

April and May in Review

April started out with a bang as we celebrated Jackson's 3rd birthday; I've already posted Jackson's pictures on a previous post. Mike also left for his deployment in April. It was so neat to stand on the flight line and watch as the jets took off and feel the after burn as it shook the ground. We miss Mike like crazy, but thankfully we still get to see him via Skype and talk to him daily.

Shortly after Mike left, my Dad flew into Idaho to help me drive to Texas. It was pretty impressive, we made the drive in a record 2 days! 

I was so glad to be able to attend my best friend from high school, Abby Baggett's, bridal shower at the beginning of May. I had a wonderful Mother's Day as well followed by a great birthday the next day! Hard to believe that I'm already 29 and have to turn the big 3-0 next year! 

The kids and I headed to The Woodlands in mid May to see all the Hefferly family (minus Pat & Dave). We had such a good time with Pinkie and Pa and the rest of the gang. Lots of trips to the park, lots of shopping for Pinkie and I and LOTS of humidity! We also went down to South Padre for the annual Hefferly Family Vacation! It was perfect weather and not really crowded at all. The kids had a blast too; it's a far cry from Idaho! We stopped in Dallas to see my Aunt Marva, Aunt Schellon, Uncle, Del, Uncle Chad and Aunt Kate on the way home. Now we are just trying to regroup before we head to Nacogdoches next week.
