Jackson's 3rd Birthday!

It is still sinking in that Jackson is already 3! Though he tells me everyday he wants to be 5 so he can go to big kid school! We had a low key birthday day for Jackson. He celebrated at school with his classmates and had some Cars cupcakes! Then he came home, opened presents and we had to pry him off all his new toys to get him to bed! Here are some pics from his big day:

March in Review

So I guess the blog has turned into more of monthly updates. Maybe when our lives aren't so chaotic I can go back to weekly posts, but for now this is what works!

  • As you may have noticed, Mike is still with us! We are so fortunate and blessed to spend another month with him. The kids and I should be in Texas by May though, just in time for warm weather and fun outdoor activities.
  • Mike has still been hard at instructor upgrades and there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I think we'll both be ready to pop open a bottle of champagne when it is all finished. He's worked so many long hard hours studying.
  • Jackson has been completely obsessed with Cars which comes at convenient timing for his birthday this week. We are going Cars Crazy - cupcakes, movies, toy cars, books, you name it!
  • Which brings be to my next point - I cannot believe Jackson turns 3 on Wednesday. Can it really have been 3 years already. He is such a sweetie. The past week he has been sleeping in the twin bed in Kennedy's room. I'm surprised how well it has worked with the exception of Kennedy waking up way earlier than normal. It is super cute to listen to them talk back and forth on the monitor for 30 minutes before finally going to sleep.
  • We had a fun St. Patrick's Day at our church's festival. We purchased 120 raffle tickets and it paid off - we won like 10 prizes including giftcards to go out and eat, play golf, manicure, haircut, monogrammed duffle bag, books it was great!
  • Easter was a blast this past weekend. Pat came into town and he and Mike took Jackson golfing on Saturday. Then Sunday we had a nice brunch and my friend Heather and her son Miles came over while the guys golfed. Couldn't have asked for better weather. Jackson was obsessed with the Easter bunny this year which was a nice change from being terrified last year!
  • My Bible Study has been going really great. We seem to agree or agree to disagree with the book in unison and have common concerns with raising kids. Plus it's just nice to have some girl time every week!
Here are some highlights from March:

Our good friends Brent, Heather, and baby Miles!

FYI - JP's face doesn't normally look like this! He had an allergic reaction to sunscreen :(
